Flew to Milan a month ago and I only had the chance to sort photos and write about this layover now. hehe!  i was too busy with work and trying to fix this blog. :D

Anyway, i enjoyed the layover with a very nice crew and i think it's safe to say that we've become friends ever since i flew with her (twice). 

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we changed our clothes and met at the hotel lobby to go out for some sight seeing...

As expected, when we arrived at the Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral Square), there were a lot of tourists. Lots of people from all parts of the world taking photos, feeding the pigeons, admiring the beauty of the surrounding architectural wonders, eating their gelato and  some having their portraits sketched by an artist at the sidewalk.

Duomo di Milano
People can go to the Duomo's roof to admire its beautiful architecture. It's 6 euros to climb up the stairs - which they say is 468 steps ( I didn't count to confirm!) and 7 euros for the elevator. Of course, I took the cheapest way up - it's more fun! LOL! but seriously, I highly recommend taking the elevator - there was nothing to see in the stairs as the windows were so small and very high. you won't see or hear anything but the footsteps of  other tourists climbing the stairs behind you. hehehe..

as soon as i went down, i entered the Duomo to take a look at what's inside....

I was sooo in awe of the Duomo that it took me 20 mins to look around and take photos before i could even light a candle and say a prayer! 

i was teary eyed because of gratitude. all i could say in my prayer was 'thank you Lord that you brought me here.'... i am so thankful for having this experience.

After saying my prayer and lighting a candle, i met my friend outside. she came from the Chanel store nearby to check a bag. ( As most of us know, Italy is one of the best places to buy branded goods such as Chanel, LV, etc because of the tax return. )
